A Foreign Ministry Spokesman Meets with Russian Ambassador to Baghdad

The Spokesman of the Foreign Ministry Mr. Ahmed Al-Sahaf met with the Russian Ambassador to Baghdad, Mr. Maxim Maximov and discussed a number of topics related to the media field.

Mr. Al-Sahaf expressed the Ministry’s readiness to facilitate the granting of entry visas to Iraq for Russian media professionals to perform their media tasks.

On his part, the Russian Ambassador expressed his ministry’s readiness to grant entry visas to Iraqi media personnel to perform their media duties in the Russian Federation expressing his appreciation for the support provided by the media office for Russian journalists.

The two sides discussed the establishment of development programs, training in the field of journalism and media content, which will contribute to the exchange of experiences, and enhance means of cooperation as one of the manifestations of the strategic and historical relationship that both countries aspire to elevate to higher prospects and broader ranges.
