Foreign Minister Meets Indian State Minister of External Affairs, Mr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar
Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim met with Indian State Minister of External Affairs, Mr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.
During the meeting the talks dealt with bilateral relations and ways to develop them to meet the aspirations of the two friendly peoples and strengthen joint cooperation in various fields, especially in the oil, gas, technology and banking sectors.
It was agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding on the development of a new entry visa mechanism between the two countries.
Minister Alhakim pointed to the importance of presenting care for Iraqis coming to India, especially for the purpose of medical treatment, while stressing the need for the safety of health services provided.
The two Ministers also discussed regional and international issues of concern to both sides, and Minister Alhakim called on the importance of continued joint coordination to support the Palestinian issue to stop the repeated Israeli violations.
