Iraqi Ambassador in Cairo Meets Egyptian Minister of Manpower
The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Cairo and Representative to the League of Arab States Dr. Ahmed Nayef Rashid Al-Dulaimi met with the Minister of Manpower of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Saafan,
During the meeting, they discussed ways to develop relations between the two brotherly countries, and the preparation and coordination for the Iraqi-Egyptian joint committee.
The ambassador stressed the Iraqi government’s keenness to hold the joint committee as soon as possible after the end of the war on terrorism and start the process of construction and reconstruction, pointing to the need for Iraq to benefit from the Egyptian expertise in reconstruction and infrastructure development.
On his part, the Minister expressed Egypt’s readiness to nominate companies that can benefit from their expertise in the reconstruction of Iraqi cities in all fields, and to provide assistance in the establishment of small and medium enterprises for the unemployed to eliminate unemployment among young people.
The meeting also discussed the reactivation of the Rafidain Bank branch in Cairo, the payment of indebtedness on Iraq to Egyptian workers, and the results of the visit of an Egyptian government delegation to Baghdad recently.
