The Embassy of Republic of Iraq in Spain Participates in Official Signing Ceremony for Opening Real Madrid Schools in Iraq

The official signing ceremony for the opening of Real Madrid Schools in Iraq was held at the headquarters of the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium on 16/9/2019, in the presence of the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Spain, Dr. Adel Mustafa Kamel, Mr. Enrique Sangth, Executive Vice President of the Real Madrid Foundation, and Mr. Alvaro Arbeloa, the Ambassador of Real Madrid Club and a number of officials of the Foundation, as well as Mr. Haider Salman, Executive Director of Nabaa Al Salman Group and former national team captain Mr. Naim Saddam, and the delegation of the Prime Minister’s Office to Spain.

The Ambassador gave a speech where he expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to the Real Madrid Club and institution which is spreading the culture of sports around the world and welcomed the signing of the agreement and the establishment of an educational program for the institution in Iraq.

On his part, Mr. Alvaro Arbeloa, Ambassador of Real Madrid expressed that the establishment of the first soccer project of the Real Madrid Foundation in Iraq is great news for all, and said: (As Ambassador of the Real Madrid Club and its institution, I would like to thank the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq for his kind words and interest in making this project , and made it possible for us to turn soccer into an educational program and cooperation in the field of development and integration of community groups and cultures. He also confirmed that the Real Madrid program will start this year in Iraq with 300 students in addition to training courses, hoping to increase the number of participants in the upcoming programs.

In conclusion, the memorandum of understanding was signed between Mr. Haider Salman, Executive Director of Nabaa Al-Salman Group from Iraq, and Mr. Enrique Sangth, Executive Vice President of the Real Madrid Foundation.
