Head of Europe Department Meets with Ambassador of Armenia to Baghdad

The Head of Europe Department Dr. Ismail Shafiq Mohsen met with Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Baghdad, Mr. Hrachya Poladian at the Ministry’s headquarters upon the latter’s request.

The meeting dealt with bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and means of developing them in all fields, as well as issues of common concern. The meeting also touched on the upcoming meeting of the Iraqi Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim with his Armenian counterpart during the 74th session of the UN General Assembly to be held in New York later this month.

The meeting also dealt with the latest developments regarding the holding of the meetings of the third session of the Iraqi-Armenian Joint Committee to be held in Baghdad during December 2019, and the possibility of signing the agreements and memorandums of understanding between the two countries during the meetings of the committee above.
