Foreign Minister Receives Call from Secretary General of League of Arab States Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit

Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim discussed with the Secretary General of the League of Arab States Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit the efforts of the Arab League in promoting joint Arab action and consolidating the principle of solidarity with regard to the challenges and problems faced by some Arab countries. Minister Alhakim expressed that Iraq welcomes any efforts made by the Arab League in the framework of resolving crises, maintaining the stability of the region, and achieving the interests and aspirations of our Arab peoples.
This came in a telephone conversation received by the Foreign Minister from the Secretary General Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit.
Minister Hakim called for the need to intensify joint action to combat terrorism, which represents the main threat to the interests of countries in the region.
