Foreign Minister Mohamad A. Alhakim Meets with Tunisian President Mohammed Nasser

Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A.  Alhakim met with President of the Republic of Tunisia, Mr. Mohamed Al-Nasser on 12/9/2019.  Minister Alhakim extended his condolences to the Tunisian President and conveyed to him the condolences of President Barham Saleh and Prime Minister Adel Abdel Mahdi on the passing away of the late President Mr. Beji Caid Essebsi, wishing Tunisia continued success in its endeavor to hold the forthcoming presidential and legislative elections in a way that enhances the Tunisian democratic model. The Minister also briefed the Tunisian president on Iraq’s view on the challenges facing the region.
On his part, the Tunisian President praised the Iraqi-Tunisian relations, praising the efforts exerted in the Iraqi-Tunisian joint committee, which established prospects for joint work, stating that Tunisia looks forward to achieve implementation methods to enhance trade, economic and cultural relations between the two countries. The Minister extends his sincere greetings to the President, Prime Minister and all Iraqi officials.
