Iraqi Ambassador in Cairo Meets Egyptian Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities

Mr. Ahmed Nayef Al-Dulaimi, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Cairo and its Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States met with Mr. Assem Al-Jazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, at the Ministry’s headquarters.

At the beginning of the meeting, Ambassador Al-Dulaimi conveyed to the Minister the greetings and appreciation of the Minister of Housing and Municipalities in Iraq, Mr. Bangen  Rikani, and his wishes to the Arab Republic of Egypt and its friendly people for progress and prosperity.

The two sides then discussed the mechanism of preparation and coordination of the Iraqi-Egyptian higher Joint Committee, scheduled to be held in Baghdad during the coming period under the chairmanship of the prime ministers of the two countries, where the joint committee is one of the most important mechanisms to activate cooperation between the two countries in many fields, welcoming at the same time Iraq’s proposal to hold a bilateral conference in Baghdad for Egyptian investors and companies specialized in the field of construction.

During the meeting, the two sides stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation and exchange of expertise between Iraqi companies and investment companies in the field of reconstruction of infrastructure in Egypt, and the importance of enhancing the strategic partnership that will benefit the two sides.
