Head of Europe Department Meets Russian Ambassador to Baghdad

Head of Europe Department, Mr. Ismael Shafeeq  Mohseen met with the Russian Ambassador Mr. Maxim Maximov . The two sides discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways of enhancing the prospects of cooperation to achieve the aspirations of the two friendly peoples.

The Ambassador praised the steady growth in relations between Baghdad and Moscow and the state of convergence in the political views of both sides.

They also discussed topics of interest to the two countries, including: Iraq’s participation in Astana Guarantor State talks to resolve the Syrian crisis.
