Foreign Minister Holds Telephone Conversation with Palestinian Counterpart Mr. Riyad Al-Maliki

Foreign Minister Mohamad A. Ahakim telephoned his Palestinian counterpart, Mr. Riyad Al-Maliki to discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries and several regional issues, particularly the most prominent developments in the region.

Minister Alhakim affirmed Iraq’s support for the Palestinian issue, the struggle of the Palestinian people for their legitimate national rights and the establishment of an independent state with Alquds as its capital, because of its universal acceptance and support.

Minister Alhakim stressed the importance of providing the necessary support for Palestinian efforts to achieve the goals of the Palestinian people of freedom and independence.
