Ambassador of Republic of Iraq in Cairo Meets the Secretary General of the Egyptian Council of Ministers

Dr. Ahmed Nayef Al-Dulaimi, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Cairo and Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States met  with the Secretary-General of the Egyptian Minister’s Cabinet, Mr. Atef Abdel Fattah, in the presence of the Chief of Protocol in the Cabinet , Mr. Abu Fadl Abbas, on Tuesday, 30/7/2019, at the Council of Ministers.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Ambassador conveyed the greetings of the Secretary-General of the Iraqi Council of Ministers, Hamid Naim Al-Ghazi, after which the two sides discussed means of activating the bilateral relations between the two countries and achieving prospects for joint cooperation at all levels and the necessity of activating the mechanisms of the Iraqi-Egyptian Joint High Committee on  the convening of the meeting, which will include ministers of trade, transport and oil in Baghdad by the end of August.

On his part, Mr. Abdel Fattah stressed the importance of the relations between the two countries and the necessity of activating cooperation at all levels pointing out that there are directives from the Egyptian political leadership regarding providing facilities for Iraqi at airports and granting residency stressing the need to hold the Iraqi-Egyptian High Joint Committee in the month of September.
