Iraqi Chargé d’Affaires in Yerevan Meets with Deputy Foreign Minister of Republic of Armenia

The Chargé d’Affaires a.i of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Yerevan Mr. Ezzidine Rasheed met with the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Mr. Grigor Hovhannisyan on 1 August 2019 at the Armenian Foreign Ministry.

Mr. Hovhannisyan welcomed the newly appointed charge d’affaires, wishing him success in his new position, stressing his readiness to provide support in order to strengthen the relations of cooperation between the two countries stating that he highly appreciated Iraq’s role in the region as a leading and historically strong country, recalling the historical relations between the Armenian and Iraqi peoples, adding that he looks forward to activating relations between the two countries in various fields.

On his part, the charge d’affaires a.i. praised the warm welcome of the Deputy Foreign Minister and expressed his happiness to work in Yerevan and stressed his intention to strengthen relations between the two countries and to strengthen the ties between the two friendly peoples.
