Acting Head of the Department of Asia and Australia Meets New Zealand Ambassador in Baghdad
The
Acting Head of the Department of Asia and Australia Mr. Hamid Abbas met with
the Ambassador of New Zealand to Baghdad, Ms. Tredene Dobson, upon her
request.
After the exchange of courtesy and
welcome between the two sides Ms. Dobson informed the Iraqi Foreign Ministry of her
country’s agreement to open an Iraqi Embassy in New Zealand and expressed
readiness to provide all necessary support and facilities in this regard.
On his part, the acting head of the department expressed his thanks to New Zealand for approving the opening of an Iraqi Embassy, stressing that this approval is an additional step in the direction of strengthening political, economic, and cultural relations between the two friendly countries.
