The Ambassador of Iraq to Portugal Presents his Credentials to President of the Portuguese Republic

Ambassador of Iraq in Lisbon Mr. Siwan Saber Al-Barzani, presented his credentials as Ambassador Extraordinaire and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Iraq to the President of the Portuguese Republic, Mr. Marcelo Ribelo de Souza.

At the beginning of the meeting held at the Presidential Palace in Lisbon, the Ambassador conveyed the greetings of the President of the Republic, Dr. Barham Saleh, and Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim expressing his hope for the development of relations and opening new prospects for cooperation between the two friendly countries. On his part, the President of the Republic congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment as Ambassador of Iraq, expressing his hope to develop bilateral relations in various political, cultural, and economic fields in addition to intensifying exchange visits.

At the end of the meeting, the President of the Republic expressed his full support to the Ambassador for the success of his mission in the Republic of Portugal.
