Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Doha Meets with President of Shura Council of Qatar

The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Doha Mr. Omar Al-Barzanji met with Mr. Ahmed bin Abdullah Al-Mahmoud, Chairman of the Qatari Shura Council in his office to present the invitation letter from the Speaker of the Council of Representatives Mr. Mohammad Rikan Al-Halbousi to visit Iraq and discuss ways of parliamentary cooperation and the development of relations between the two brotherly countries. The Chairman of the Qatari Shura Council Shura thanked the Iraqi government and people and stressed Qatar’s keenness to promote and develop relations with Iraq.

During the meeting, they discussed a number of bilateral issues and ways to strengthen and develop the deep ties between the two countries. The Ambassador pointed out that the opportunities and areas of cooperation are great especially in the economic and investment fields. The main issues related to the region were also discussed.
