The Second Coordination Meeting between Foreign and Interior Ministers

Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim met with Interior Minister Mr. Yasin Al-Yasiri at the Foreign Ministry. This comse as a second meeting between the two Ministries since the new Minister of Interior took office. The meeting discussed means of coordination and cooperation between the two Ministries, including: Services provided to Iraqi citizens inside and outside Iraq to ease the pressure on them, the security of diplomatic and international missions operating in Iraq, based on Iraq’s commitment to international conventions which require that the security of the missions is the responsibility of the host country. The Ministers also discussed the joint preparations between the two Ministries regarding the resumption of the issuance of the unified national card to the Iraqi community abroad, and to facilitate the granting of entry visas to investors who wish to work in Iraq , as well as addressing means to facilitate consular transactions to serve citizens.
