Undersecretary for Legal Affairs and Multilateral Relations Meets with President of German Green Party and Member of the Parliament Ms. Annalena Baerbock

The Undersecretary of the Ministry for Legal Affairs and Multilateral Relations Mr. Hazem Al-Youssafi met with the German Green Party President and Member of the Parliament Mrs. Annalena Baerbock and her accompanying delegation.

Mr. Al-Youssifi expressed Iraq’s appreciation for the efforts of the friendly Republic of Germany in supporting the Iraqi people through its humanitarian contribution and reconstruction efforts, stressing the importance of cooperation between the two countries in various economic and political aspects.

They also discussed the situation of displaced persons and ways to facilitate their return to their residence, in addition to the humanitarian situation of the Yazidis in IDP camps. Mr. Al-Youssifi stressed the readiness of the Foreign Ministry to provide all possible facilities within the framework of its work to facilitate the implementation of humanitarian programs supported by Germany in Iraq, including the rehabilitation program for victims of violence, especially women and children.
