Head of America Department Meets with New US Ambassador to Iraq

Ambassador Mrs.  Sondos Omar Ali, Head of America Department at the Ministry met with US Ambassador to Iraq, Mr. Matthew Tueller at the Foreign Ministry.

The Ambassador welcomed Mr. Tueller , who expressed his pleasure in taking over his duties in Baghdad.

 During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral relations between Iraq and the United States in various culture, economy, education, energy and health fields and the importance of working to encourage investment and job opportunities for young people, and maintaining the victory achieved on Da’esh terrorist gangs was emphasized. They also touched on the strategic framework agreement for the friendship and cooperation between the Republic of Iraq and the United States of America and the importance of developing the work of its committees.

 Regional developments and their impact on Iraq were also discussed. The Ambassador stressed that the world has become a small village, and that peace and prosperity must be achieved all over the world.
