Foreign Minister Receives a Telephone Call from his French Counterpart

Foreign Minister Mr.  Mohamad A.  Alhakim received a telephone call from French Foreign Minister Mr. Jean-Yves Le Drain. The two sides discussed the bilateral relations and ways of developing them to serve the interests of the two peoples.

Minister Alhakim expressed Baghdad’s aspiration to enhance cooperation, partnership and the importance of the contribution of Paris to Iraq’s reconstruction efforts in particular to French investment companies since Iraq today is a fertile environment for investment.

The two sides also exchanged views and ideas on the latest regional issues, ways of coordination and consultation on the two countries’ issues, and  to contribute to calming the situation, achieve security and stability in this delicate situation and create more opportunities for development that contribute to the well-being of the peoples of the region.
