Foreign Minister Receives Foreign Minister of the Sultanate of Oman

Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim received the Omani Foreign Minister Mr. Yousuf Bin Alawi and discussed bilateral relations, as well as exchanging views on regional issues of common concern.
Minister Alhakim stressed the aspiration of Baghdad to enhance cooperation in various fields, and coordinate with Oman for the good and interest of the two brotherly peoples.
In the Arab and regional affairs, the two sides discussed developments in the region, ways to support the efforts to confront terrorism, and strengthen mechanisms of joint Arab action to meet the challenges facing the region.
Both sides agreed on the importance of undertaking political solutions to the current crises to achieve peace and security.
