The Ambassador of Republic of Iraq in Muscat Presents his Credentials to Omani Foreign Minister

Ambassador Mr. Ali Mehdi Jawad presented his credentials as Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the Sultanate of Oman to His Excellency Yousuf Bin Alawi, Official responsible for Foreign Affairs in the Sultanate on Monday, 10/06/2019.

Mr. Yousuf bin Alawi welcomed the Ambassador and expressed his happiness for the speed in obtaining the necessary approvals for the accreditation of the Ambassador and setting the date of submission of the copy of the credentials to the Minister responsible for foreign affairs within less than 24 hours from the arrival of the Ambassador and wished him success in his new mission as Ambassador to the Republic of Iraq, which will contribute to strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries. Mr. Yousuf bin Alawi expressed the readiness to open doors to the Iraqi Mission to provide assistance and success.

On his part, the ambassador conveyed the greetings of the government and the people of Iraq to the government and people of the Sultanate of Oman and conveyed the special greetings sent by Iraqi officials and Minister Mohamad A. Alhakim to his Omani counterpart and thanked the Minister for the meeting which took place the day after his arrival to Muscat.

At the end of the meeting, the Ambassador thanked Mr. Yousuf bin Alawi for the meeting, good reception, encouraging words and support provided by the Sultanate’s government in general and the Foreign Ministry in particular for the interest of relations between the two countries.
