Ambassador of Republic of Iraq to Cairo and its Permanent Representative to LAS Participates in Event on Occasion of International Day of Solidarity with Palestinian People

The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq and its Permanent Representative to the Leage of Arab States  Dr. Ahmad Nayef Al-Dulaimi participated  in the solidarity event organized by the League of Arab States on the occasion of the “International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People”, which was approved by the General Assembly of the United Nations in 1977, to be a global day to confirm solidarity with all the legitimate and inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, in the forefront: self-determination and the establishment of its sovereign independent state, with Alquds  as its capital.

Ambassador Al-Dulaimi gave a speech on this occasion in which he noted the presence of the Palestinian concern in the Iraqi conscience, and the foremost attention considering this day (29 November of each year) as an international day of solidarity with the Palestinian people, which comes in the context of the responsibility of all the countries, pointing out that it is an opportunity to remind the whole world of the injustices and tragedies suffered by the Palestinian people of killing, displacement, land confiscation and settlement building by the Israeli entity.

Ambassador Al-Dulaimi stressed Iraq’s position in support of the Palestinian issue along the crisis, and that he spared no effort in supporting the Palestinian brothers, and calls in all international forums to stand with the State of Palestine and its proud people to obtain rights and liberate the land.

AmbassadorAl- Dulaimi ,and  Assistant Secretary-General of the League of Arab States and Ambassador Said Abu Ali, opened on the sidelines of the ceremony a photo exhibition titled: “Alquds is Arab : 7000 Years of History and Civilization” to emphasize the centrality of the Palestinian issue and the full support of the Palestinian people in their legitimate struggle to achieve freedom, independence, and the establishment of an independent sovereign state, with Alquds as its capital
