Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Budapest Meets with Undersecretary of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry

The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Hungary Mr. Talal Jameel Al-Obeidi met with Mr. Ishtivan Balog, Undersecretary of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry. It was agreed that the Hungarian Government would provide the appropriate support for Iraq in the European Commission or to the European Parliament for the purpose of removing Iraq from the list of threatened countries in the field of money laundering and terrorism financing issued by the European Union.

It was also stressed the need to open a consular section in the Hungarian embassy in Baghdad and not only granting the visa of entry from the Consulate General in Erbil, as it was already approved to find a suitable method to grant the entry visa from Baghdad.
