The Ambassador of Republic of Iraq to Sultanate of Oman Meets chairman of Omani Public Authority of Civil Aviation

The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the Sultanate of Oman Mr. Ali Al-Dabbagh met with the Chairman of the Public Authority of Civil Aviation Mr. Mohammed bin Nasser Alzaabi.

They discussed ways to enhance air transport cooperation between Baghdad and Oman. Ambassador Al-Dabbagh explained that both countries have a common vision in the development of economic cooperation, especially in the area of ​​investment.

The Ambassador pointed out that the transit traffic will lead to maximizing the economic feasibility; for the large number of arrivals to Iraq on religious occasions and this will raise booking of flights to Iraq from various countries, especially India and Pakistan, and Muscat can be an important transit station.

On his part, the Chairman of the Public Authority of Civil Aviation Mr. Mohammed Al Zaabi stressed that the travel in Iraq is good, especially that Iraqis are the mainstay of tourism in many countries, including: Turkey, Lebanon, Azerbaijan, Egypt, and that the Sultanate is working to develop tourism, attract foreign tourists, and that the airline will open new prospects for  the increase of tourism exchange between the two countries, praising the close relations linking the Sultanate with Iraqi civil aviation.
