The Deputy Permanent Representative of the Republic of Iraq in Geneva, Dr. Abbas Kadhim Obaid participated in the Seventeenth Meeting of States Parties to the Convention against Torture at the headquarters of the United Nations Palace in Geneva, and witnessed the election of five new members of the Committee against Torture, candidates from Mexico, Latvia, France, Turkey, Moldova) who will serve on the Committee for the term (2020-2023).
