The Acting Head of the Human Rights Department Meets with Ambassadors of Ukraine, Sri Lanka, New Zealand and Serbia to Baghdad

The Head of the Human Rights Department Ms. Berekhan  Shawqi met with the Ambassadors of the missions of the Republic of Ukraine, the Socialist Democratic Republic of Sri Lanka, New Zealand and the Republic of Serbia to discuss the re-nomination of Iraq to the Human Rights Council for the period 2020-2022, which will be held on 12/10  during the 74th session of the General Assembly in New York, the meeting will discuss the priorities of Iraq, which will work with its partners in the field of protection and promotion of human rights.

These countries were represented by Ambassador Victor Nidubas, Ambassador of the Republic of Ukraine to Baghdad, Ambassador Niranjan Asuka Ranasinghe, Ambassador of the Socialist Democratic Republic of Sri Lanka to Baghdad; the Serbian Ambassador to Baghdad, Mr. Uroš Balov and the New Zealand Ambassador to Baghdad Ms. Tredene Dobson.
