The Iraqi Embassy in Sofia Holds Modern Art Exhibition of in Bulgaria

The Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Sofia held an exhibition of Iraqi modern art for four Iraqi artists residing at the Bulgarian National Library in Sofia under the title “Drawings from the Mesopotamia Valley”.

Chargé d’affaires Mr. Jassem Neima Massoul gave a brief speech in which he pointed out that the holding of this exhibition in Bulgaria confirms the depth of relations between the two countries which go back a long time.

Director of the National Library Prof. Dr. Krazmira Alexandrov gave a speech in which she pointed out that the exhibition in the National Library for the first time in the history of relations between the two countries is great happiness of all, pointing to the civilization of Iraq and its ancient history. The opening of the exhibition was attended by a number of Arab and foreign ambassadors, members of the diplomatic corps in Sofia, a number of Bulgarian citizens interested in art and members of the Iraqi community. The exhibition will last for one week.
