Foreign Minister Meets with his Algerian Counterpart Mr. Sabri Boukadoum

Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim met with Algerian Foreign Minister Mr. Sabri Boukadoum.
Minister Alhakim expressed Iraq’s desire to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries, pointing out that Iraq seeks to strengthen relations with Algeria more effectively politically, culturally and economically, adding that Iraq considers Algeria as one of the pivotal countries in the Arab Maghreb, and will continue coordination between the two countries in various fields to serve the interests, and Arab issues, foremost among them is the Palestinian issue.

Minister Alhakim pointed out the importance of discussion that was put forward at the meeting of the League of Arab States in Cairo, especially as Iraq is heading the Council of the League at the ministerial level.
Minister Alhakim called on investors from both countries to work together and exchange experiences.
This comes on an official visit by Minister Alhakim to Algeria to open new prospects for bilateral relations between the two countries, and cooperation in the interest of the two peoples.

On his part, the Algerian Foreign Minister Mr. Sabri Boukadoum said Iraq is a fraternal country and that Iraqi and Algerian peoples have common history,
indicating that Algeria is open to Iraq, and is ready to cooperate in various cultural, economic, social and security fields, and
expressed his congratulations to Iraq for the victory over terrorism wishing for peace, and stability.
