Foreign Minister Meets with Several Egyptian and Arab Elites in Cairo

Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim met with a number of Egyptian and Arab elites at the Salon of Civilizations in the Egyptian capital Cairo, on 9/9/2019, in the presence of former Egyptian Foreign Ministers, Secretary-Generals and Assistant of the League of Arab States and a group of senior academics, writers and journalists.
During the meeting, the Minister stressed that the government of Mr. Adel Abdul-Mahdi has prioritized the provision of services and infrastructure development, pointing out that the foreign policy of the government focused on neighboring countries and dialogue to resolve differences, and strengthen the relationship with the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, and emphasize the depth of the Iraq’s Arab quality, Minister Alhakim pointed out that the Iraqi-Egyptian-Jordanian meetings are an important basis for Iraq’s Arab interaction, stressing that Iraq has become a pivotal country, noting the great importance of the oil pipeline that will connect Basra to Aqaba, adding that Iraq is seeking to develop its relations with the European Union because of its important role in the global coalition against terrorism, pointing out that Iraq is moving to develop its agricultural economy, and the development of the private, industrial and banking sectors and to overcome unemployment problems, and build confidence and communication with neighboring countries through concluding memorandum of understanding, stressing that the program of Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi is an ambitious program.
