Ambassador of Republic of Iraq to Belgium Receives Head of New EU Mission in Iraq

The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Belgium, Mr. Sadiq Al-Rikabi, received at his office at the Embassy, ​​Ambassador Martin Hoth, on the occasion appointing the latter as Head of the European Union Mission in Iraq.  The two sides discussed the activation of the cooperation and partnership agreement between Iraq and the European Union, which came into force in August 2018.

Ambassador Al-Rikabi also stressed the importance of the European Union’s role in helping Iraq to rebuild its infrastructure in all areas, as well as humanitarian assistance to displaced people in areas that have been subjected to terrorist operations.
