The Foreign Minister Receives Telephone Call from his British Counterpart

Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim received a phone call from the new British Foreign Secretary Mr. Dominic Raab.
Mr. Alhakim congratulated him on the occasion of his appointment as UK Foreign Secretary.
The two ministers discussed ways of enhancing cooperation in various fields, especially security and intelligence coordination and efforts to combat terrorism, and serve common interests Of the two friendly countries.
Minister Alhakim reviewed the priorities of Iraq, which include achieving economic and social development, and building cultural ,scientific and civil links between the two peoples.
They also discussed a number of important topics including Britain’s commitment to support water projects in Basra.
The two sides also exchanged views on the latest developments in the region and the importance of advancing peaceful solutions for stability and security.
