Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim met with British Ambassador Mr. Jon Wilks, German Chargé d’affaires Mr. Jochen Moller, and French Charge d’affaires Mr. Jean Noble. Minister Alhakim expressed his hope to cooperate to achieve security and peace in the region, stressing the commitment of Iraq to conclude its relations according to the principle of common interests, and to face common risks, reflecting its specificity and strategy.

Minister Alhakim stressed that Iraq wants to preserve the strategic nature of relations and believes that it can play a pivotal and essential role in supporting stability in the Middle East.
Minister Alhakim pointed out that there are challenges facing the region at this stage, and all should adopt the language of calmness , the principle of dialogue, and non-interference in the internal affairs of countries, and preserve their sovereignty.
Minister Alhakim presented a comprehensive overview of the developments in Iraq and the region, stressing the importance of achieving cooperation in light of the challenges facing the region to support peace and stability, explaining that Iraq and its government put all diplomatic and legal options at the forefront of its priorities; to prevent any external interference in its internal affairs and to safeguard the security and sovereignty of Iraq and its people.
