Ambassador of Republic of Iraq in Ankara Meets with Undersecretary of Turkish Foreign Ministry

The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Turkey Mr. Hassan Al Janabi met on July 19, 2019 with the Turkish Foreign Ministry Undersecretary Mr. Yavuz Selim in the Ministry building in Ankara.

The Ambassador conveyed the condolences of the Iraqi government and people to the Turkish side for the assassination of the Turkish Deputy Consul in Erbil, stressing that this criminal incident will not undermine relations between Baghdad and Ankara.

 The two sides also discussed means of developing economic, cultural and sports relations between the two countries.

On his part, the Undersecretary of the Turkish Foreign Ministry expressed the gratitude of the Turkish government for the solidarity shown by Iraq with Turkey.
