Foreign Minister Holds Military Security Coordination Meeting with Turkish Side

Foreign Minister Mohamad A. Alhakim led Iraq’s delegation at the military coordination meeting with the Turkish side.
This meeting is of great importance to the two countries as they discussed several issues including security cooperation, combating terrorism and the common desire to work towards improving relations according to the aspirations of the two friendly peoples.

The two sides called for more security cooperation between the two countries as its important for the security of the whole region and as a fundamental pillar in achieving development , stressing the importance of implementing the outcomes of this important meeting, and continuing to hold meetings, and agreed to hold the next meeting in Baghdad.

It is worthy to mention that this visit is part of what was agreed upon by Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
