Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Serbia Presents Credentials as Non-resident Ambassador to Montenegro

Ambassador of Iraq in Belgrade Mr. Fakhri Hassan Al-Issa presented his credentials as a non-resident Ambassador to the President of Montenegro Mr. Milo Đukanović on 01/07/2019.

After the ceremony, the two sides discussed the bilateral ties, which are described as historical relations since the former Yugoslavia and the Movement of Non-Aligned Countries, and the importance of developing these relations in all aspects that serve the interests of the two friendly peoples. The President praised the initiative of Iraq in the formation of the international coalition to fight terrorist organizations and expressed that Montenegro seeks to be a good partner in international initiatives.

On his part, the Ambassador stated that the stability of Iraq is most important and that the priority now is reconstruction and development and expressed the desire to get the support of other countries, including Montenegro in the reconstruction of Iraq.
