Foreign Minister Meets Lord Tariq Ahmad of Wimbledon Secretary of State for Commonwealth Affairs

Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamad A. Alhakim met with Lord Tariq Ahmad of Wimbledon, Minister of State for the Commonwealth and the UN, and Special Representative of the Prime Minister. During the meeting they reviewed the progress of bilateral relations between Baghdad and London and means of strengthening them to serve the interests of both countries.

They also emphasized on the importance of concerted efforts and cooperation to enhance the security and stability of the region, and support Iraq in rebuilding the infrastructure of liberated cities and opening new horizons for joint cooperation.

Minister Alhakim expressed the aspiration of Iraq to benefit from the British experience, and to cooperate in various fields, calling on London to contribute to resolving outstanding problems throughout the region, and to avoid crises that are a threat to all peoples.
