‏Acting Head of the Department of International Organizations and Conferences Meets French Chargé D’Affairs

‏ On 18 April 2021, Dr. Abbas Obeid, acting head of the Department of International Organizations and Conferences met with Mr. Jean-Noël Bonnieu, the Chargé d’Affaires of the French Embassy at the Ministry’s headquarters.

‏ The two sides discussed ways to coordinate joint efforts between the two countries in a way that serves national interests. They also discussed a number of the most prominent issues raised in international organizations and developments related to them and
‏Mr. Obeid emphasized Iraq’s principled stances on these issues.

‏ For his part, the French Chargé d’Affairs, affirmed his country’s keenness to cooperate actively to support Iraq in its endeavor to enhance security and stability, and expand horizons of cooperation between the two countries in all fields.
